9.11.09: Dodgers at Giants – The game that can’t be lost

Hey guys, I’ll be doing a game log throughout the game so keep on leaving comments if you feel like talking about the game ( translation: if we’re winning)

7:02 – Disappointment #1: We’re watching the game on local TV which means Jon Miller not Duane Kuiper. Oh boy.

7:04 – Redemption. Kruk told the hitters to hit or get off the pot. That’s 10 times better than anything Jon Miller has ever said in his entire life.. However, I love my Jon Miller bobblehead

7:16 – This is the reason why Nate Schierholtz should ALWAYS be in right field, let Winn spend the next 18 years with his kid. Nice job Kruk on getting your “play of the game” plug done in the first atbat.

7:22 – Manny strikes out, looks like just Manny being Randy Winn. I need to calm down before I have 203 posts before the inning ends.

7:26 – 2-0 Dodgers. Welp so far Bochy has given up two unearned, good job he’s winning :/

7:33 – Watched a 1997 Giants vs. Dodgers game where Giants went up 2-0 in the first inning and won 2-1. There was an asian in Chan-Ho-Park vs. a staple in the Giants (Kirk Rueter) Let’s hope the outcome is different. Please, please lord.

7:39 – Jon Miller is talking about cranes on a cruise ship and Krukow is awkwardly quiet.. I am considering muting it

7:40 – I muted it.

7:46 – Global Warming is moving faster than Bengie Molina. Holy LOL

7:57 – I see Brian Johnson, I am unmuting. Pablo plays 3rd, catcher, 1st, he should also play manager.

8:13 – I am convinced that Jon Miller is a compulsive liar and makes stories up. Not one man has to have that many stories.

8:28 – Cain looking good, offense looking like our offense, Dibs guy still louder than our entire fan base combined.

8:33 – For those guys who are bored during commercials “Are you smarter than a fifth grader” is on!

8:38 – 2-1 Dodgers, btw this is how that game in 1997 ended

8:43 – 4-1 Valdez is warming up in the bullpen. Well, congratulations Bochy that’s your first mistake of the game!

8:49 – Fred Lewis recently complained about being a pinch hitter and how he deserves a better role and more respect within the Giants organization and can’t wait to be gone next season. Fred Lewis just hit a swinging bunt that went no more than 15 feet. Good riddance. I’m surprised so far Bochy has only made 1 bad move.. granted we haven’t had any situational atbats yet.

8:55 – Merkin Valdez, the worst pitcher in our organization, comes into pitch against the heart of the order. I will call for fastball, fastball fastball. I predict a two-run homer by Manny this inning. Still 4-1.

9:02 – Wow surprise, Valdez gives up two basehits so far and Bochy doesn’t pull him.. Even if Runzler gives up one walk a few games ago and he pulls him. Edit: Basehit Manny.. wow.. really? OK this is why I give him the nickname Merkin “fastball, fastball, fastball” Valdez. Absolutely pathetic.

9:07 – This is the exact moment and reason why this site was created.

9:19 – Since my last post they have scored 5 runs.. that’s almost 1 run per two minutes which is about as many runs we’ve scored all season. Thank you Bochy for damage control in bringing in Valdez then Howry to give up 5 runs. So far that’s 7 games they, THEMSELVES, have blown.

9:25 – Oh look Bengie Molina is hitting so with an 8-run deficit and you have obviously given up on the game why are you so god damn hard-nosed that you won’t play Posey. Renteria is terrible, Bengie is terrible give the young guys a freaking bone.

9:33 – The bone and history is arrived.

9:41 – The SF Giants “We’re In” commercials are taunting me right now. The beers are being consumed at a much faster pace.

9:49 – Buster Posey’s long awaited debut ends in a strikeout.. almost fitting. Well scratch the fact that the Bigs up top were holding out, it is all about Bruce Bochy’s ignorance

10:01 – Well at least the game finished on time and the Padres are certianly handling the Rockies! 1-0 in the top of the ninth..

10:08 – Another 2-out bases loaded game-winnng hit by the Rockies, Giants are 5.5 back.

BOTTOM LINE: FIRE BRUCE BOCHY AND BRIAN SABEAN

Giants 5.5 games back of wild card.
