9.25.09 Post Game: Move over Bengie, Zambrano for cleanup!

Well, here is my checklist for the offseason:

Fire Sabean

Fire Bochy

Demote Brian Wilson, promote Romo to closer

Trade for Zambrano and send Bengie to a retirement home.

Carlos Zambrano made sure Tim Lincecum doesn’t get the Cy Young, the Giants don’t make the playoffs and the fans cut aother piece of flesh on their wrists.

I remember watching Zambrano pull his hammy while trying to dragbunt about five months ago, little did I know he would be the one that officially crushed our ‘09 dreams.

At least Buster Posey played. However, I refuse to give props to Bochy because we would be in the dead-middle of the Wild Card race if he weren’t here.

On another positive note, Renteria will be having season-ending surgery so I mean he can’t ruin our playoff dreams any longer.

I don’t know, maybe I’m just bitter because we have been brought back to life about 9 times and had our heart broken more than my entire time in high school.

Now let’s think about this: Zambrano in place of Bengie.

Zambrano is selective in his at bats and doesn’t swing at balls covered in dirt.

Zambrano (.438) actually has a better slugging percentage (.425).

With four homers in 64 atbats, if he were to be given as many at bats as Bengie he would have 12 more homers, just as many doubles,  and his career high in average (.331) is .40 points better than Bengie’s career high.

I’m just saying..
