9.24.09 Post-game: “In that situation, Bochy is gona get criticized…

because Penny was dealin,” Bip Roberts on the Giants 3-2 stunner vs. the Cubs tonight.

If Bip Roberts is calling you out, you need to step away from the steps of the dugout.

As Bochy gets reemed by everyone on my television, we all know Bruce Bochy needs to go. Reason number 3,302,202: Tonight.

But all the attention now turns to B-Weezy, ah, The Life of Brian.

Forget any blown save he has had in the past, can we live this one down?

I mean, you had a 2-2 count with 2 outs in the biggest close of your life and you let a kid who has 3 homeruns the entire season take your fastball yard.

Who knows if we coulda gone on to have a miraculous Rpockie-like comeback to make the playoffs and continue an epic wild-card run to the World Series, but now we will always know who officially closed that dream.

Does he deserve to be our closer? Yeah his numbers are almost All-Star like for the most part. But does anyone else shutter when you hear Wilson is coming in?

He’s confident and looks like a closer but you know who else looks like a closer?

Sergio Romo

Not to mention he has a Septemeber to remember. In 9 outings this month he has given up 3 hits, 0 runs and struck out 11. I’m just saying.

So yeah Penny should have remained out there, but maybe this was a blessing in disguise. Maybe we need to realize that Romo has closer-like quality.

Hell, he’s 2-2 in saves this year anyway, I hope he gets a chance.

I’ve never been really confident in BWeez. And I’m with you on Romo. He has that elusive Travis Bickle-like quality: that’s right, the Taxi Driver. He’s psycho, and you need that in a closer.

Awesome Bickle reference, I really think we should open the closer job up for competition next year, especially after seeing Romo go all Norman Bates on everyone after a strike out. That’s right, Psycho.

Blaming tonight on Bochy is borderline retarded. Brian Wilson is having his best season to date, he’s statistically superior to Romo, and one of the best closers in the league. Last night was an extremely rare occasion in which Bochy made the decision that gave us the best opportunity to win, but we got beat anyway.

That being said, look for Romo to go the way of Joe Nathan in the off-season.

      So Brian Wilson got Bochy’d?
