FIRE-SABEAN is back.. Brian and Bruce never seems to disappoint!
Well, after checking my credit card bill and wondering where all these charges came from I realized Fire-Sabean is still paying Hostgator. So WE’RE BACK!
Oh, and Brian Sabean continues to top himself with move after.. *yawn* move in the off-season.
Mediocrity has struck again as Sabean pats himself on the back for the recent addition of Aubrey… Huff.
Granted the risk/reward aspect is relatively positive ($3 million for a possible .285 hitter) it still makes people wonder: What if we had La Roche instead of spending that money on Rowand?
Anyway, the future remains to be seen with Huff, but I hope we catch him on a good year.
All you have to do is check out Baseball-Reference.com to see that Huff is literally bipolar:

According to the Mercury News Bochy sees the top five hitters as such:
“The top five hitters, as Bochy sees it today: Aaron Rowand, Freddy Sanchez, Pablo Sandoval, Aubrey Huff, Mark DeRosa.”
Oh cool, I’m glad Aaron’s .261 with 15 homers and 64 RBI far outweighs Pablo’s FIRST FULL SEASON with a .330 average with 25 homers and 90 RBI.
Some things never change Bruce.
I’m actually surprised he didn’t put Renteria on that list.
Sabean also didn’t rule out siging a starting pitcher and starting Bumgarner in the minors. Yup, we pride ourselves in our farm league and continue to give young talent confidence or an opportunity that doesn’t involve being in the middle of chasing for the Wild Card.
Anyway back to Huff. He put up great numbers — at one point in his career. He’s not over the hill, but he has had one crazy up-and-down career. Baltimore Orioles fans saw him in a down year.
“I have to cling to the belief that we’ll find a take for (Huff), even if we eat the majority of his salary. I can’t stomach the idea of him in black and orange all year. If I cling to no other illusions about the Os this year, I’m sticking with that one.” http://www.camdenchat.com/2008/3/12/185050/598
Well your stint in the black and orange seemed to give you quite the enemy-base Dr. Jekyll, I hope we like you a little better than that.
Because you’re not part of the black and orange anymore; you’re with the orange and black.
Welcome.

[...] A lot of the Sabean fanboys are coming out of their holes they’ve been in for a decade, which is fine. They’re calling the Sabean-haters stupid for doubting his prophet-like moves of knowing Torres would totally change his approach, or that we’d catch Huff on a good year. [...]
