We’ve given up, just post a score and SOMEONE WILL WIN!

OK, this guess the score thing isn’t working and we here at FS would really like someone to represent a shirt.

SO you can guess the score for March 5th, tell us who you think will win, your thoughts on how the Giants will do this year, a story of what you did last weekend.. WE DON’T CARE.

Just talk about something in the comment box below and you are automatically entered to win. A winner will be chosen at random.

YOU CAN POST MORE THAN ONCE, but please don’t spam.

Spam sucks.

  • We’re talking about defense? Plus Rookie of the Year!

It’s a lot of fun when you’re winning, hitting, and playing good baseball. But what happens when you finally slip up — literally?

Edgar Renteria(batting at a cool .143 avg) slipped at short during a routine play and Aubrey Huff committed two errors in one play. First by not picking the one-hopper, then by “floating” his throw to home as the runner scored. THAT’S OKAY, HE’S OLD… IF I TYPE IN CAPS HE’LL DO MUCH BETTER.

The Giants looked terrible against the Mariners yesterday and as many have noted it was mainly on the defensive end. Here’s the elephant in the room: How are we going to win with the “best” pitching staff but the worst defense in the league?

I’m going to be honest here, I love the San Francsico Giants. I love the park, the team, the city, but for the love of Lou-Seal this has to stop.

Bochy continues to have his blinders on. We’ll see Renteria getting ample PT; Huff sucking at first and DeRosa imitating Barry in left field all year. That’s not going to win us a title yet alone get us in the playoffs.

Sure we’ll score more than last year, but I mean my brother’s JV baseball team scored more than the G-men last year in 15 games, but the defense could be the death of the team.

Bochy won’t see it, Sabean will be too busy searching for prizes in boxes of crackerjacks like the owner in Rookie Of The Year, and us fans will sit here for another season wondering when the office will realize that, unlike Rookie of the Year, we won’t win anything.

BTW, does anyone find it ironic that Rowengardner looks eerily like Tim Lincecum?

Rowenhowzen had an awkward, messed up delivery (like Tim); is just a kid (like Tim) and has been rumored to light up every now and then (like Tim)!

  • Spring Training a.k.a. the birth of Sabean’s monster

    So far so good.

The San Francisco Giants seem to be rolling in Spring and even Edgar Renteria and Aubrey Huff are looking pretty good, maybe this is the year Sabean silences his critics.. In the same breath maybe this is the year we get out of our national debt.

Sure we have room for optimism: A top-notch rotation, new acquisitions that give us a little more power, Pablo.. But none of that matters if our GM and manager suck more than anyone wearing a Manny jersey.

Sports Illustrated is at least on the same page as us, naming Sabes the 28th best GM in the league: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/tim_marchman/03/03/gm.rankings/index.html  you’ll find our boy on page two. Read More…

  • What are you most looking forward to this season?

Not only does Prince Fielder love champagne, as made obvious in picture on the left, but I love to hate him.

Prince getting plunked on the first pitch of his first at-bat was one of the many highlights so far as the Giants are cruising to a cool 2-0.. in Spring Training.

Thinking in this positive light (as it is a new season) I will give the Giants and Sabean a fresh start! Bochy however will never get a fresh start *cough sub-500 manager cough* Excuse me..

Here are a few other exciting things to look forward to this year:
