5.7.10 – LIVE GAME BLOG: Romo. Walkoff. You know the story, S.F. loses 6-4

Last week was a downer, the Official FS Live Game Blog swallowed its first loss of the season and is at 3-1.

However, we have a take-no-prisoner attitude as S.F. has rampaged through the N.L. NEXT STOP: NEEWW YOORRKKKK.

It was either do the blog yesterday or today and who wouldn’t choose a Sanchez outing — Cain taking a no-no deep would have been fun though.

• FAIL Post picture of me and the band Lifehouse promoting the #1 hottest site in sports…* She never posted them to her facebook.
  
• FAIL Pablo break out of slump, get two hits. 0-for-everything
  
• FAIL – Jonathan Sanchez be Jekyll today. Please… No blowups.: Three homeruns, 4 runs in 4 innings.
• CHECK - Kruk and Kuip point out a Giants fan: Bottom of the third
  
• FAIL Win the game. Lose 6-4.

LET’S PLAY BALL!!!!!!!!!!

1:39 – Anyone else had Jay-Z’s Empire State Of Mind “New York” stuck in their head? If not, I suggest playing this over and over and over and over until first pitch.

Now it’s time to turn the Big Apple into Applesauce! … Sorry, It’s the best I had.

4:03 – Pre-game meal: Rice-A-Roni, 3 giant corndogs and a shot of Wild Turkey. Can’t wait!!

4:04 – Drinking game idea: Any time the Giants ground out you take a drink; any time a Giant gets hurt you finish your drink; any time we see Amy G you vomit all of your drink up.

4:09 – I heard Eugenio Velez got sent down — I’m kind of saddened as my jokes about him won’t make much sense anymore.. He never understood my jokes anyway. I could have hit him over the head with them and he still woudn’t get ‘em. Bah-dum-ching

4:13 – And on opening pitch it looks like another solid crowd of 502 people. “Mets play S.F.? Is Tim Lincecum pitching? No.. Ok, yeah I have plans sorry.”

4:15 – Pablo 2-15 in Florida, 2-for-his-last-23.. grounds out to 2nd. That’s OK, Sanchez needs to keep his arm warm. Two minute innings are OK EARLY ON! … right?..

4:19 – Reyes hits not first for first time in 5 years.. and gets a single. Oh lordy, the flood gates have opened! Oh look Jason Bay, the guy who shot down the “Bay by the Bay” PUN and signed with New York..cool

4:24 – Bay hits a double, Mets lead 1-0. Bochy should of listened to my tweet and hit him. Fire Bochy.

4:27 – Huff leads off with a bunt single. Is this the equivalent to an onside kickoff at halftime? Probably worse because it was Aubrey Huff who got aboard.

4:32 – Matt Downs and out. Get it? Welp, with that strikeout with a runner on third he has now replaced Eugenio Velez as Team “WTFRUDOING” guy.

4:36 – I checked out the CAVS-CELTICS game for literally 5 seconds, turned back and it was 2-0 Mets. Meatball Sanchez. Sheesh

4:37 – Yeah I saw the 2nd of the back-to-back home runs as they literally use opposite sides of the field. One more run and Sanchez will have already used his “blow up” pass. 3-0 Mets

4:44 – Oh look, Cavs-Celts is a blowout so far. Welp back to a good gam- .. wait a minute Giants have one hit?

4:47 – Todd Wellemeyer vs. Johan Santana?  AT 9:30 AM? What else would make this worse? Eugenio Velez commentating for Kruk, probably.

4:48 – Seriously, Aaron Rowand has about 8 RBI off of in-field singles, including a walk-off infield grounder. A run’s a run, but it’s pretty funny.

4:50 – BOOM! Kuip points out a few Giants fans at the game! JACKPOT.

4:52 – Just realized something!

In this commercial Pablo hits a homerun with two guys on.. FALSE! The Giants don’t hit home runs with runners on base!!

4:57- Sandoval O-for-2.. Uh oh, slump buster is broken.

5:00 – I have timed it so far and the Giants have been at-bat for a total of 6 minutes in this game. Pablo has been up for .05 seconds.. Eugenio Velez is in AAA. lol, just had to throw that in there.

5:04 – Leadoff walks, glad those never come back to haunt you.

5:05 – Whiteside throw s him out at second. See, told you it never comes back to haunt you. BTW Neil, you posted a score at 4:58 lol. I don’t think that counts!

5:07 – Home run Davis, Sanchez has moved into “blowup” mode. FAIL.

5:11 – Cool, Tampa Bay is playing Oakland. You know, I never minded “hated” Oakland until a few fans tried to trash talk with me about the Earthquake Series. The guy was like 2 when it happened so pretty much kick-started my hate again.

5:12 – Then again, I talk smack to Cubs and Indians fans about our world series 56 years ago.. :/

5:14 – Bochy calls for a hit-and-run with Jonathan Sanchez batting, he fouls it back and everyone says.. Wat? Then Sanchez lays down a beautiful bunt, coupled with a throwing error things just got interesting.

5:16 – Rowand coming through again with more RBI blah blah blah. Same old story. Seriously though, Rowand needs to get hit in the face more often if this is what happens..

5:19 – Mr. 200 is hitting in the two spot and he comes up with runners on 2nd and 3rd…. INFIELD RBI GROUNDER! Man, that caught me off guard, I was thinking grand slam the whole time.

5:20 – Pablo swings hard at three high fastballs. 2-for-28, Mark Derosa and Pablo are hitting a combined -.140 in the past week.

5:25 – Cool, 1-2-3 inning for Sanchez, I didn’t even have to type anything.  Oh btw, MOTHERS DAY SUNDAY! Ladies, time to scare your men by telling them you want a “mother’s day” card..

5:34 – 4-3 New York and I still haven’t seen Lebron James.. What a joke.

5:39 – Not a lot to report, besides the fact that I haven’t seen Amy G yet.. Maybe I just mentally blocked her out.

5:41 – Denny Bautista warming up in the bullpen. What?

5:48 – “Bochy thinking about the hit and run” says Kruk. Bochy thinks about the hit-and-run when he’s having relations with his wife.

5:51 – Hit and run on a pitchout. Didn’t see that coming.

5:56 – Hit and run, HIT AND RUN AND THE DOUBLE PLAY WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED! SIGN ME UP AS THE MANAGER!!! CAPS LOCK!!!

6:02 – Sorry, still angry about the hit and run fiasco.

6:10 – I’ve got a feeling about this one. A good one, stick with me.. My lasagna should be done in a few minutes.

6:11 – Castillo rarely boots a ball. WHAT DID I SAY?

6:13 -Runners on first and second..

6:16 Bring in Bautista, I want to see if he is MerkinValdez good or Todd Wellemeyer good.

6:24 – Sorry about the delays but pizza is here.. and well.. you know how it ends.

6:25 – I was seriously joking about the Bautista thing and i see him pitching to Reyes with no one out and a runner on second in a 2-1 game. And Timmy can’t go one more batter?

6:27 – And he strikes out Reyes. Just like I said.

6:31 – Yup, great move Bochy. Love me some Bautista GET ME A JERSEY!

6:34 – If you ask me, I think Bautista should hit in this inning.

6:39 – I just compared Bowker to Donte Greene, I apologize John Bowker. FREE BOWKER

6:46 – FREE PABLO’S SLUMP!!

6:47 – I am building Pablo up to my buddy who has never watched the Giants and knows nothing about it. He then loses his bat on a swing.

6:49 – It’s bad when your fans boo you on a double bluff.

6:52 – Pablo fails… Again.

6:53 – Nice, Giants tied in the 9th with Romo up. Let’s hope he has learned his lesson.. again..

6:55 – Oh cool, Ike Davis..

6:58 – XXXXX wins it in the bottom of the 9th on a walk off against Romo. Wash, Rinse. REPEAT.

GAME OVER.

Romo gives up a walk-off blast, Giants lose. I’m not sure I’m ready for this relationship to be long term.
