“FL” vs. Sabean – Is He The Mystery Caller?
If you haven’t heard, someone named “F.L.” called in to KNBR on Thursday. There was a lot of grumblings that it sounded a lot like our favorite General Manager — Brian Sabean.
Our GM called in under a code name and didn’t even disguise his voice? Not likely, but who can argue with the voice similarities..
This is getting better than of my Soaps that I spend all day watching! Buster Olney calls out Sabes saying he doesn’t answer the phone, Sabes trades Bengie, Bochy is clearly upset and still sits Buster (Posey), Sabean and Bochy give us dissenting opinions through the media on who is catching and then F.L. gives us a beauty of a phone call.
Well, we here at FS bring you in-depth analysis on everything Giants, so I put together the call-in from F.L. and a call-in from Brian Sabean, these are those results.
Sounds like F.L. stands for Freakin’ Liar. What do you think? If for some bizarre reason this is true, this has to be the saddest moment in that man’s life. If it’s a fan being dumb, then, great voice disguise.. thanks for wasting my time.

Man this is getting a little crazy, I feel like I’m reading tmz or some crap every day. There is definitely something going on with this organization. Unfortunately, they seem to keep pretty private but if it gets outta hand it could get interesting… Especially with their big heads. (yes pun always intended)
I want sabean to fire botch and give hum baby the job. It’s not impossible because what a marketing ploy if nothing else and see how he handles the team (plays the kids). I cam dream

It does sound a lot like Sabean, but it’s definitely not him.

Now that I’ve listened to it again in it’s entirety, I now think there’s a good chance it is him. Pretty funny.

To me it actually sounds like Al Michaels. But I agree there is a resemblance to Sabean as well.

I think FL sounds a lot like our ol’ pal Sabes, but is not him. His voice is huskier and has more of an Alan Alda sound to it. Sure people can change the tone of their voice, and this sounds a lot like him, but IMHO is not.
