Giants Lose But I Don’t Care!

I feel I can play, no doubt about that.  Myself, I am too proud. I always say if I can’t play this game, I’d be home. But I can help this team win. – Renteria on his play, July 6

Edgar, with age comes wisdom, not a faster bat-speed. OK, one more: Renteria you’re as clutch as an automatic car.

Now onto the POST-GAME:

When things are going good for San Francisco, it feels like we’re one win away from the World Series. Seriously, what a party right now.

Not only that but the team, the commentators and the fans are having a blast.

Since July 5, the Giants are 16-3.  Morale is high and despite Pablo missing, this team continues to gel better than my hair in sixth grade. Man, that was some good lookin’ hair.

Oh wait, we lost? And Renteria struck out to end the game with the tying run on third base? WHO CARES! We have been on a ROLL!

The fans are having fun and licking their chops waiting for the games to start and I know Kruk and Kuip are, too.

Also of note, during the 4-3 loss we got a glimpse in the Bay where a group of fans printed out over-sized faces of San Francisco Giant commentators — which was actually pretty funny.

I see they couldn’t afford color though, but that’s cool, it’s expensive living in the Bay.

And that is a microcosm of this stretch the Giants have gone on: Guys in kayaks with over-sized faces of Dave Flemming. Figure that one out (I just like using the word microcosm).

On a side note our rookie Buster Posey is on a small 19-game hitting streak.. I say small because ESPN doesn’t even know Posey is called up.

Oh there’s an ESPN L.A.? Yeah, my point stands.

And by the way, what did Kruk and Kuip do before the game? They were in amazing moods and having a great time with the guys in the kayaks, throwing paper at two guys eating garlic fries right below them, the cal-poly guy, the ball dude…

Must be the home atmosphere. Well, all this good stuff didn’t translate into many runs for the Giants, but that’s OK… Just this once I won’t claim the apocalypse after a loss.

Man, I must have been drinking the Kool-Aid Kruk and Kuip pounded pre-game.. This isn’t like me…

Just cheered me up. On to tomorrow… Hopefully a bad Josh Johnson outing will compensate for an amazing Nolasco performance.

Thanks very much. I can sleep now

Man you post fast. Well, I wouldn’t start reading the book of REVELATION either, but it sure would be nice if he didn’t strike out 3 of the 5 AB’s.

Kevin FS is the OFFICIAL FASTEST POST-GAME IN BASEBALL.. CSN claims they are but they have Gary Radnich so they are handicapped..

Night Zack, I hope you dream about that .gif

i was just thinking the same thing…. i’ve been so happy with the giants lately, that i didn’t mind losing this one. I didn’t find myself saying, “if you mother fuckers don’t make a 9th inning come back, i’m not watching the next 10 games” like i normally do. I aint even trippin… bring on the dodgers for friday… i live in the valley and im going to the giants dodgers game! ill be wearing my FS shirt!!

I realized that I didn’t specify that I was talkin’ bout Renteria? (I also know ya’ll were smart enough to figure that out). He really needs to take a ‘CLUTCH 101′ course. Or maybe sign-up on a ‘BAT-MEETS-BALL’ dating site. Or maybe just choke-up on the bat and make contact! I feel the same way about the loss though. The G-men get a pass tonight. And seeing Posey stripe that first AB line-drive was real nice.
Not to change the subject, but listening to Radnich is hard on my ears. Does he EVER finish a sentence? You mentioned his name and BAM! . . . instant headache. Nite FB.

Giants fans are too hard on Edgar. He’s been hurt. Any shot at the NLCS relies on this man’s shoulders.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the recap. I don’t think i have been able to quantify my love for Kruk and Kuip until last night. Everytime I am at my girlfriends’ house I am religated to a t.v. remote battle at around 8 oclock between the Giants game(which is in about the 3rd of 4th inning) and some reality show that my girlfriend loves but doesnt admit to anyone that she watches. However, on this night, Kruk and Kuip were on their A game…the kayak guys…the garlic fry guys…the “he looks like he wants to take that tshirt off” guy…Kruk and Kuip were in top form! And that is when the most beautiful thing happened: My girlfriend reaches for the remote, to which i am sure she is going to turn it back to The Bachelorrette,(that show is like a drug for girls) and instead turns up the volume on the Giants game because she wants to hear what Kruk and Kuip are going to do and say next. So thanks to those men in the booth, the Giants did win last night 1 to 0 over the Bachelorrette and for that I am thankfull.
