Walk-Off Saves The Day
BREAKING NEWS: The Dodgers have acquired Scott Podsednik for TWO minor leaguers. This will be a fun weekend series…
I wish I could be more excited about the walk-off.
Obviously I’m pumped we won and this is a huge, huge momentum builder. Rowand and Renteria came through and then there was Andres Torres. Holy are you serious? Thank you Andres Torres.
But for some reason all I can think about is that San Francisco pitching blew a 9-2 lead.
Dan Uggla delivered the head-shot with a game-tying double in the top of the ninth. And yeah, it hurts worse wearing Sharpie-colored Halloween orange Nikes.
And so here we stand. The Sabean-backers were pouring champagne all over themselves earlier in the day and now all eyes are on “God” as it is more obvious now than ever that we need bullpen help. What will he do?
Just would like to mention I caught some crap in May when the Giants were winning and am sure to incur a lot of smack-talk from the Sabean-backers now.
But believe it or not I am a life-long Giants fan and it is possible to love the team but hate the GM. Let me say this one more
time: I would love to see Brian Sabean prove me wrong. Do I think he will? No.
After going to a spiritual adviser after last night’s game, she told me to continue to stay positive because the Giants can really pick up on my vibes. And with that I’ll take sole credit for today’s walk-off.
There is way too much to talk about so let me use bullet points!
- Torres went 4-for-6 with three RBI.. and look at that playing card
- Giants blew 9-2 lead in three innings
- Posey extends hitting streak to 21 games
- The bullpen is still pretty terrible
- Our offense is confusing but exciting at the same time
- Does Brian Wilson have a blister?
- Our newfound offense will probably be Sabean’s scapegoat
- Juan Uribe had 32 RBI and is also pretty dang good
- I hate you Denny Bautista
- We have 60 more games, dear Lord.
NOTE: When you Bing search “Andres Torres Splash Hit” nothing comes up.. I hope that changes after today. WHAT A BOMB.
