I’m On Vacation.. Er, Was…

I am supposed to be on vacation, VACATION, yet the Giants managed to break my heart once again in typical S.F. fashion: 4-3- loss to the Rockies in 15 innings. I can’t escape the torture known as Giants baseball, not even in Tahoe.

I’ll get it out of the way and ask the same questions we all are asking:

• Why did Buster Posey disappear into the thin Colorado air in the eighth inning? The game went into extras and we missed at least two Posey AB’s. (Whiteside then throws away a ball in the bottom of the 14th which almost cost them the game, had another passed ball and yet another pop-up with a runner in scoring position)
• Pablo Sandoval was pulled in the bottom of the 10th — again, it made no sense.
• Huff hits a lead-off triple, no one out in the 13th inning…  Strikeout, strikeout, then Renteria grounds out to end the inning. No squeeze, no strategy, just terrible offense.

Other than that it was your typical 15-inning Fourth of July gut-busting, heart-wrenching, ulcer-inducing loss in Colorado. What else is new?

Fire Bruce Bochy, Fire Brian Sabean, Fire that Colorado Mascot who pissed me off by the 8th inning, Fire Uncle Sam, Fire Poppers, Fire the creator of this Website. This is seriously ridiculous.

How is the kid supposed to learn if he’s not in the position to try? Bochy said he’d played 1st base for a month and a half and needs to be “worked” into catcher, and then pulls him in games like this?

I said it last year, I said it to begin this year and I’ll say it again, BRUCE BOCHY will lose us more games than he’ll win.

It’s the birth of our Nation but today was the birth of a new ulcer in my stomach.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have sparklers to light and beers to consume by myself in the corner, crying… Happy Birthday America.
