POST: Velez Update; S.F. Forgets How To Lose

Obviously off the top I’d like to ask everyone — I know you already have — but keep thinking good thoughts for Eugenio Velez. If you missed the game he took a Pat Burrell line-drive to the face and was rushed to the hospital.

And I think we all know Juan Uribe’s grand-slam in the seventh inning was for the other “UUUU”.

As for the game, I have nothing to complain about. Giants win 10-4.. Buster Posey continued his hitting streak, Aubrey Huff is still a retard and Edgar Renteria found his stroke — but let’s focus on Edgaarp.

He’s had an RBI in the past three games, and since July 7 he’s hitting .310 and that’s a victory in itself. If Renteria can stay healthy, this team looks a lot more dangerous. It’s good to see him gaining some sort of momentum, he really needed it.

Honestly, this team is in full stride right now. Whether it’s against a good team or a bad team, it doesn’t matter — the Giants are on a freaking roll. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — I am a Giants fan.. A hardcore Giants fan. I’d rather look like an idiot and have San Francisco win the World Series than have me be right in firing Sabean.

Bottom line — this team is fun to watch right now. Pablo and Huff are the personalities, Lincecum and Cain are the staples, and guys like Posey and Bumgarner have really lit up this fanbase. There is not a lot to complain about right now, just keep on winning my friends, keep on winning.

NOTE- Pablo will miss the next two days to go home to Venezuela.. Speculation is that it’s to settle his divorce (yes he’s married).. As of now he won’t miss any serious time and should be back very soon.

As for Velez, Amy G reports he never lost consciousness and he is doing well considering the situation.  I won’t even speculate on who will get called up in his place. Get well, buddy.
