Sabes Going Crazy:

There is constant proof that he is a liar. Lately, he said he’s “a cut to the chase kind of guy” but months earlier he said he will take his time with ALL trades and will kick the tires and nothing will be rushed. Bengie Molina was traded in 72 hours (not saying that’s bad, but come on).

The epic “FL” caller on KNBR. He said he’s been a Giants fan for 50 years and that FL is his initials.. This is his voice compared to Sabeans:

Recently, the team signed Pat Burrell and said he would strictly be a bench guy. He’s started 5 out of his first 7 games, Nate is still on the bench. He says “We’ll see what we have to do” when Buster Posey is called up and the old guys get healthy; yet a few days ago says there was never a thought that Buster would get benched – 6.11.10

Sabean Signings

We’re not asking for perfection, really we’re not. Obviously a majority of your signings are going to stink. But take a look at these hitter signings in the past 4 years.

Notice how the most expensive deals were the biggest screw ups? Rowand, Winn, Renteria, Roberts.. just those four combine for nearly 120 million dollars. For 13 total years of service we paid and will pay those four, $120,000,000.

Sabean Trades

He’s probably most famously known for his Joe Nathan for A.J. trade, but more recently.. well.. he just hasn’t made any good trades. To his credit there aren’t any terrible ones, more recently the Ryan Garko deal was a crapshoot, but if Freddy can stay healthy then it looks like he may have had a good trade!

But so far, Freddy has not worked out in the Giants favor — you know.. the shoulder and everything.

Fun Sabean Facts

• At age 32, Randy Winn received $23 million. At age 35, Dave Roberts gets 3 years for 18 million dollars. That’s $41 million on two guys in their mid-30s and obviously past whatever prime they had. In Roberts’ 10 years he averaged 4 homers, 32 RBI and a .266 avg. I’ll repead that agan, Dave Roberts 18 million dollars.
• The last person under 30 that we signed was Pablo Sandoval in 2003.
• The Giants have had a top 10 payroll in the past 10 years and have showed two playoff appearances (‘02, ‘03).
• In the past five years the Giants are 76-86.. Yet Sabean immediately received an extension in December.
• This year the Giants are the 3rd worst offense in the National League. Last year – 4th worst; 2008 – 2nd worst; 2007 – 2nd worst.. hey I guess we’ve improved.

The list can go on, bottom line: He’s a jerk, we haven’t won and it’s his head on the chopping block. His M.O. is the same year in and year out: Old people, lots of money, fail. I’m sure all of you have stories to add to the list.

I was at a game this year holding up the FIRESABEAN shirt and employees nodded with me and some even said they’ve passed him and he’s a complete A-hole. Now just because he’s a jerk doesn’t mean OFF WITH HIS HEAD, but how many more worthless trades, terrible signings and continued lack of offense are we going to see until we’ve had enough?

Congrats Sabes, you signed 4 guys who wasn’t your first or sometimes second choices who couldn’t get contracts elsewhere and 2 of them have been good for 60 games where the other one is blocking our best player from his natural position. You also signed a guy who wasn’t healthy enough to play this season. You also traded away a decent OF for nothing! Get the GM of the year award shined up and sent to this god that has been nothing but a blessing to this proud franchise!
