ATTENTION ALL SABEAN BACKERS, IT IS JULY 29TH. CAPS LOCK.
Ray Ratto recently wrote an article titled: “Where’s The ‘Lynch Sabean’ Crowd Now?” And it seems the flock of Brian-backers have emerged from their cocoons once again.
In the article, Ray told me I am wrong about everything, Sabean is a mastermind and Santa doesn’t exist.
And with the Giants winning all over the place, it’s easy to believe it.
But let’s look WAAAYY back to last year where San Francisco led the wild-card for over two months and even finished 14 games over .500.

I’ll admit when I’m wrong. Andres Torres, I was wrong.
I was part of the clan calling for your head in the beginning of the season, but I know I wasn’t alone. The numbers seemed to agree, too.

BREAKING NEWS: The Dodgers have acquired Scott Podsednik for TWO minor leaguers. This will be a fun weekend series…
I wish I could be more excited about the walk-off.
Obviously I’m pumped we won and this is a huge, huge momentum builder. Rowand and Renteria came through and then there was Andres Torres. Holy are you serious? Thank you Andres Torres.
But for some reason all I can think about is that San Francisco pitching blew a 9-2 lead.

Something happened in the bottom of the 8th. The place was packed, the mystique was in the air and UUUU-RIBE chants rang throughout the stadium.
It was a 3-3 game, no one out and the count 1-2, both teams are trying to find their identity for a playoff push with August on the doorstep. And then..

I feel I can play, no doubt about that. Myself, I am too proud. I always say if I can’t play this game, I’d be home. But I can help this team win. – Renteria on his play, July 6
Edgar, with age comes wisdom, not a faster bat-speed. OK, one more: Renteria you’re as clutch as an automatic car.
Now onto the POST-GAME:
When things are going good for San Francisco, it feels like we’re one win away from the World Series. Seriously, what a party right now.
Not only that but the team, the commentators and the fans are having a blast.
Since July 5, the Giants are 16-3. Morale is high and despite Pablo missing, this team continues to gel better than my hair in sixth grade. Man, that was some good lookin’ hair.
Oh wait, we lost? And Renteria struck out to end the game with the tying run on third base? WHO CARES! We have been on a ROLL!
The fans are having fun and licking their chops waiting for the games to start and I know Kruk and Kuip are, too.

Ryan Rohlinger was called out, but it’s the thought that counts.
UPDATE 12:17 pm: Oh OK cool he’ll make game time tomorrow. The ball hit him above his left ear.. dang.
UPDATE: 11:51 am – I flipped a coin and Velez will be released today.
10:50 am - Well crap, Baggs says Velez may get released today, why can’t these guys correlate first.
9:37 am - My new good friend Amy G reports that:
Eugenio Velez is doing well this morning and currently in the process of being released from St. Joe’s Hospital.
Great news, awesome to see he is doing much better. Earlier Bruce Bochy said he was fine “but not real responsive.”
Bochy I don’t know about you, but I base my judgment on “fine” by how responsive someone is. Sorry he can’t be like Gamer Rowand and brush off a Padilla fastball to the skull. The guy is like 100 pounds..

Obviously off the top I’d like to ask everyone — I know you already have — but keep thinking good thoughts for Eugenio Velez. If you missed the game he took a Pat Burrell line-drive to the face and was rushed to the hospital.
And I think we all know Juan Uribe’s grand-slam in the seventh inning was for the other “UUUU”.

Pardon my use of the “R” word, but in this form I’m using it as slang for “Unbelievable”.
I’m using it for the man who has captured the hearts of every Giants fan. The man who called the All-Star game retarded. The man who blogged that Andres Torres says “Hi” to him nine times a day.
He’s the man.
Here’s a fun fact — Huff ($3 Million) has 19 homers, that’s four more than Aaron Rowand, Egar Renteria and Pablo Sandoval combined. And those three also take up $24 Million of our payroll.
This is the fun part of the Huff experiment, the part where Huff has no downside. Who knows, maybe he’s older and more mature — but let’s not forget, Huff has made a career of PR head-shakers.
But maybe he does have a different attitude this year — maybe he’s that Gamer we need… We all know our other Gamer died in a field a few years ago.
After the jump let me warn you THERE IS EXPLICIT CONTENT!

Thank God we are playing the Arizona Diamondbacks.
I mean really, the San Francisco Giants tried hard to lose this one — but in the seventh inning, Edwin Jackson became my new favorite Giant.
Two throwing errors to first base opened up a three-run inning and the difference in the game as San Francisco won 7-4. David Dejesus is done for the year.
It’s hard to forget another multi-home run game for Aubrey Huff, but after the seventh-inning collapse by our lovable losers from Arizona the two home runs seem like a distant memory.
Props to Bochy for actually realizing how to play small-ball as last year he would have probably had Merkin Valdez pinch-hit with two on and no outs. Dejesus is done for the year.
