POST: Posey Wins The GAM-.. WAIT..

When Huff was intentioanlly walked in the bottom of the ninth to bring up Buster Posey, I know everyone with orange running through their veins smiled.

Bottom of the 9th, game tied, mid-August baseball and the winning run on second. The kid that everyone’s been drooling over with a chance to solidify his rookie season and begin his triumphant career as a Giant.

Posey then walked. BUTTTT that set up the Andres Torres sacrifice fly-error thingy to end the game! GIANTS WIN!!!!!

Wait did Bochy just send the runner with a possible chance of losing your winning run? Read More…

  • Giants Acquire Mike Fontenot

Everyone has reported that the Giants have acquired Mike Fontenot Evan Crawford.. OK, lol.

Here’s a snapshot of our new acquisition:

THANK GOD! We finally got that bat that we need. What a day! Is Rent is done for the year?

  • POST: Giants Lose

The Giants pregame ran a piece on why Timmy has been struggling this year. He then gave up four  runs in the first inning — including a splash hit by Kosuke Fukudome.

    Mother Fukudome.

Timmy’s hair still floated in the wind, the pants still looked like they were five sizes too big, but Big Time Timmy Jim was nowhere to be seen.

And then Blake Dewitt mishandled what probably would have been an inning-ending double play. That led to a Buster Posey RBI single. Momentum shifted.

  • The Biggest Series In The History of Giants Baseball

Just kidding. But it’s still pretty big.

Let’s rewind. I started thinking about this after  MLB Network cut in to an awesome brawl between the Reds and Cardinals. It was the biggest fight since Pedro Martinez kicked the crap out of the young-at-heart Don Zimmer.

I think everyone agreed Brandon Phillips was probably involved. SURPRISE, HE WAS!

I’m sure Phillips said something like, “Bengie’s better” to Yadier. Or he walked up and simply said “Buster Posey”. Either way, good to see fire in a rivalry in August.

That got me thinking… Sure wish the Giants had an upcoming series that is potentially the biggest in years and involving players saying absurd things to the other team.

  • Welcome Back Home T-Shirt Sale! $10!!!

I’m back home and so are the Giants — both feel pretty good.

At one point this weekend I was up for 31 straight hours – 15 hours at work, 14 hours moving (including driving the truck from Sacramento to Pasadena on hours 24-31 of being up).

After being a groomsman and getting about five hours of sleep in four days I was able to watch zero seconds of Giants baseball since Wednesday. It seems I’ve missed a lot.

Thanks to Jon and Jason for updating and reporting throughout the weekend but tonight, TONIGHT, I finally get to watch a game.

I missed a thrilling sacrifice fly walk-off, Brian Wilson on Rome, another piece of evidence for the 24/7 Huff Cam, a lot of losing, solid bullpen work, SURPRISE! No offense… What else?

How about chopping 30% of price of our FIRESABEAN shirt, and am now offering them for 10 DOLLARS! ACT NOW, SALE ENDS SOON! CLICK HERE TO ORDER!

  • Todd Is DFA’d

Stop the presses And start the party. Wow can’t believe it took yesterday’s outing for them to realize he is worthless.
Good thing we waited for him to rehab.
    Wow.

    • Glad it was Burriss too! Good to see him back in the bigs after his injuries and he still moves ...

  • Posey Gets Rest, Apparently S.F. Does, Too

    Contributions by Jon Adams….

It was said before today’s game that Bruce Bochy was planning to give Buster Posey the day off in the end of this four-game series against the Braves — the last in the Giants six-game road trip.

We also saw Todd Wellemeyer… Yeah, the same Todd Wellemeyer whose injury paved the way for the greatness known as Madison Bumgarner. And boy did Todd live up to his mediocre expectations. In the end, the Giants lost 6-3.

San Francisco fell to 2-4 on the road scoring nine runs in the final five games after getting 10 in game one.

  • F.P… Where’s Your Offense Now?

My best friend is getting married tonight. For the first time this season I’ll go two straight Giants games without seeing a single pitch.

This is a weird parallel because for the first time in what seems like forever, San Francisco is on a two-game losing streak. Nothing serious, but with 53 games left… when do losing streaks become serious?

I missed the game so obviously my review is worthless, so what happened?

Looking at the stats the Giants once again failed to get the “clutch” at-bats. One-for-1o with RISP is never a fun stat to see. But I would like to briefly take this time to talk to F.P. Santangelo who adamantly said we DO NOT need another bat.

  • Giants Looking At Old-Man Guillen

Welp, he was DFA’d today and Baggs is reporting that the Giants are discussing acquiring him. He is a “gamer” and our outfield isn’t overcrowded.. right? Oh wait…

Sorry John Bowker, you had no chance; hello slumping old guy you are a dream come true! And weren’t we about to trade people for this guy? Now he’s available pretty much for cash…

I guess If we can get him for super cheap like Pat Burrell it shouldn’t be a HUGE issue, but, what do I know… I’m just a guy with a blog!

In other news someone claimed Adam Dunn and I can almost guarantee you it was not the Giants.
